The Garmin 010-00705-49 is a Reactor™ 40 mechanical/retrofit/solenoid corepack with solid state 9-axis attitude heading reference system (AHRS). The Reactor 40 isoperated using up to 3 GHC™ helm control units. GHC communicates with the autopilot system via your NMEA 2000® network, so autopilot heading data can be shared easily with other devices. Up to three GHC controllers can be interfaced with a single reactor 40. The Reactor 40 features patented Shadow Drive™ technology that automatically disengages the autopilot if the helm is turned, allowing the helmsman to maneuver the boat. The autopilot automatically re-engages when a steady course is held by the helmsman.

The Reactor 40 autopilot corepack is ideal for sailboats and powerboats with direct or cable-actuated steering systems. It is combined with compatible networked chartplotter to provide full control, from wherever you are on the boat. In addition to holding its course in virtually all weather and wind conditions, the system can smoothly perform a variety of preprogrammed trolling and search procedures.
