Garmin introduces NuviCam LMTHD (part # 010-01378-01) the first sat nav to feature a built-in dash cam and advanced alerts to enhance your awareness on the road. Need to take a closer look at your course? The high-resolution 6.0-inch touchscreen glass display on your NuviCam LMTHD offers pinch-to-zoom capability. The GPS navigator design also features a powered magnetic mount that securely holds and charges NuviCam LMTHD as you drive.
NuviCam LMTHD comes preloaded with a detailed map of North America. The built-in maps have free lifetime updates so that your routes are sure to reflect up-to-date maps and points of interest. With a voice-activated feature, you can control this Sat Nav on the command of your sound. Forward Collision Warning warns you if you're too close to the vehicle ahead, and Lane Departure Warning alerts if you are swerving over a lane marker to help keep you safe on the roadway. In an unfortunate event of an accident, the Incident Detection G-sensor will automatically save files for later review.
Garmin's NuviCam LMTHD is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that runs your device up to 30 minutes. The Direct Access feature lets you drive through complex destinations, like shopping malls and airports, by finding a place within a larger location. When you are driving to the mall, Direct Access provides additional location information for specific retail stores inside. For example, “Arriving at Destiny USA Mall. J. C. Penney is inside, on the fourth floor.” For a complete navigation solution, you can pair your navigator with Garmin BC 30 wireless backup camera. Speaks Street Names:
The Text to Speech Technology utilizes speech synthesis to convert written text into speech. Speech synthesis is known as the synthetic production of human language. The computer in your GPS system looks at upcoming street text, which is being displayed on the screen, and uses its internal synthesizer to pronounce those street names. These voice prompts allow you to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the steering wheel. Text to speech does not utilize pre-recorded, generic audio bits.
