The Ubiquiti EdgePoint™ WISP Control Point features a die-cast aluminum alloy and polycarbonate shell with UV resistance. The EP-R8 comprises powerful routing features that provide redundancy and increases performance for outdoor wireless links. It provides VLAN interfaces for network segmentation with the support of routing protocols like OSPF, RIP, and BGP. The EP-R8 consists of a total of eight ports: six 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports with 24V / 0.7A passive PoE, and two 10/100/1000 RJ45/SFP combo ports with 54V or 24V / 1.4A passive PoE.

This switch offers a quick and flexible configuration by command line with direct access to standard Linux tools and shell commands. Its graphical user interface is designed for convenient setup and control and provides virtual view of ports displaying physical connectivity, speed, and status.
