The Garmin GPSMAP 8424-Panoptix Bundle comes with GPSMAP 8424 Chartplotter and a Panoptix Livescope System. The GPSMAP 8424 has 24" full HD screen with touch control and also includes auto-dimming feature for use in low light or at night. The device provides standard USB touch output for use as a touchscreen monitor for Windows® and Mac® operating systems. Supported sailing features include laylines, enhanced wind rose, heading and course-over-ground lines, true wind data fields and tide/current/time slider. Racing features include pre-race guidance, synchronized race timer, virtual starting line, time to burn and layline datafields. Gauge displays show true and apparent wind angle, set and drift, true or apparent wind speed, horizontal or vertical graphs.

The GPSMAP 8424 offers 10 Hz GPS reciever that refreshes position and heading 10 times per second. This chartplotter supports GSD™ 26 CHIRP professional sonar, GSD 24 advanced sonar, and GCV™ 10 or GSD 25 DownVü and SideVü scanning sonar, and is fully network capable for NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000®. The device is waterproof and has an external antenna.

The Panoptix LiveScope System is easy to adjust and fit the fishing techniques. It gives easy-to-interpret live scanning sonar images of structure, bait, and fish swimming below and around the boat in real-time, even when the boat is stationary. The Livescope modes provide accurate information of the range of 200 ft with an operating frequency of 530 - 1,100 kHz. Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) stabilization keeps sonar view steady, even in rough conditions. The Livescope is easy to install.
