Additional Product Details

The Garmin 010-00705-88 is Reactor™ 40 steer-by-wire Corepack for Viking® VIPER™ featuring solid state 9-axis attitude heading reference system (AHRS). The Reactor 40 is controlled using the GHC helm control unit. This control unit communicates with the autopilot system via a NMEA 2000 bus, so autopilot heading data can easily be shared with other devices. This enables MARPA and chart overlay when connected to a Garmin chartplotter. Up to three GHC controllers can be interfaced with a single reactor 40. The Reactor 40 for Viking VIPER steering systems brings our leading-edge marine autopilot technology to Viking yachts. With a complete package designed for powerboats and sailboats.

The Reactor 40 is combined with compatible networked chartplotter to provide full control, from wherever you are on the boat. In addition to holding its course in virtually all weather and wind conditions, the system can smoothly perform a variety of preprogrammed trolling and search procedures. The Reactor 40 autopilots are very versatile. Both powerboat and sailing features are available in all corepacks, including heading hold, wind hold, tack/jibe, step turns and more.
