The Garmin GPSMAP® 8700 Black Box is a fully-integrated black box system that allows the user to integrate multiple sonar technologies as well as autopilot, connected services, apps, engine data and multimedia right at the helm. The black box can pair up with an external GPS 19x 10Hz GPS and GLONASS receiver to update position and heading 10 times per second. It is compatible with all marine monitors, including the third-party touchscreen ones.
GPSMAP® 8700 Black Box system comes with preloaded worldwide basemaps with about 5000 waypoints and 100 routes. It is also compatible with ost sonar technologies including ClearVü and SideVü. The black box provides four input as well as two output NMEA 0183 ports along with one HDMI input and output. It also offers wireless connectivity.
