Celestron Motor Drive for AstroMaster & PowerSeeker - Motor Drive

Track the stars in right ascension (RA) with Celestron Motor Drive. Attach this small, easy-to-install motor drive to any AstroMaster or PowerSeeker equatorial mount and the telescope will automatically track the stars.

This motor drive is compatible with all German Equatorial (EQ) Celestron PowerSeeker, AstroMaster, CG-2, and CG-3 telescopes. Equipped with a speed rate regulator the motor drive can track at a faster or slower speed. This can be helpful when observing non-stellar objects like the Sun or moon Since they move through the sky at different rates than the stars.

To allow tracking of heavenly bodies, Celestron offers an optional single-axis motor drive for the CG-2 and CG-3 EQ Mounts. Once polar is aligned, the motor drive can accurately track objects in Right Ascension as they move through the night sky from east to west. For a long period of the time, minor adjustments in Declination will be necessary to keep celestial objects centered in the eyepiece.

The Motor Drive is equipped with a North/South switch that can reverse the direction of the motor. To change hemispheres, Just slide the North/South (N/S) switch on the face of the motor drive. The motor drive features a “Speed Rate Regulator” knob just under the power indicator. Turn this regulator in either direction to slow down or speed up the motor.
